Visit the Lamborghini factory

A short 30-minute drive from Maranello, in the small Italian town of Sant’Agata Bolognese, stands the Lamborghini factory, an impressive site for enthusiasts of ultra-fast sports cars. Since its founding in 1963, Lamborghini has become synonymous with luxury, power, and groundbreaking design, creating some of the most coveted supercars in the world.

When driving to Sant’Agata Bolognese, you’ll quickly spot the Lamborghini factory as the town is quite small. The factory is easily recognizable by its shiny facade adorned with the large Lamborghini logo. The facility is roughly the size of a few football fields, and only about 10 sports cars leave the factory each day. At the front of the factory are the research, development, and design centers, areas that are strictly off-limits to unauthorized individuals.

All Lamborghinis are made in the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory, including the exclusive, limited-edition models that are built alongside the more common Lamborghini variants. These include rare models like the Reventón, Veneno, Sesto Elemento, Veneno Roadster, and the Lamborghini Centenario, which was introduced in 2016 to celebrate the 100th birthday of Lamborghini’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, who was born in 1916.

History of Lamborghini

The Lamborghini factory in Italy was founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini, a successful entrepreneur who made his fortune in the tractor industry. Unsatisfied with the performance of his own Ferrari, Ferruccio decided to create a better sports car. His vision led to the establishment of Lamborghini Automobili, and the first car to roll out of the factory was the Lamborghini 350 GT, a two-seater coupe that quickly grabbed attention with its stunning design and powerful V12 engine.

Over the years, Lamborghini has produced a series of iconic models, including the Miura, Countach, Diablo, Murciélago, Gallardo, as well as the modern Aventador, Huracán, and Urus, and has become a serious player in the supercar market.
