Autodromo di Modena circuit

Located just 10 kilometers west of Modena, the Autodromo di Modena is a modern circuit strategically positioned in the heart of Italy’s supercar industry. Nestled within the legendary triangle of Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, and Pagani, this region attracts car enthusiasts from around the world year-round.

The Modena circuit

Stretching 2,100 meters in length and over 12 meters wide, the Autodromo di Modena features 11 challenging turns, designed to test both skill and precision. The circuit can be adapted into two configurations, offering both a short and long version to suit different racing and testing needs.

During weekends, the track hosts local car and motorcycle championships, while on weekdays, it is available for private testing and track days. Major manufacturers such as Pagani, Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini frequently use the circuit to test their latest models or offer customers exclusive driving experiences. Thanks to its technical layout, the track is ideal for fine-tuning suspension, aerodynamics, and engine management systems.

Surrounding the circuit, 20 pit garages house various conference rooms, and the complex includes a hotel and a restaurant. Additionally, within the circuit’s infield, there is a narrow inner track used for skid control courses and specialized vehicle testing. The main circuit also hosts driver training programs for those aspiring to enter the world of motorsport.

History of the circuit

The city of Modena is deeply intertwined with the Italian automotive industry. It is the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari and home to legendary brands such as Maserati, Pagani, Lamborghini, and Ferrari. The Autodromo di Modena was inaugurated in 2011 as a multi-purpose test and race circuit, catering to both professional drivers and amateur enthusiasts.

Although the track itself is relatively new, Modena has a rich motorsport history. During the 1950s and 1960s, street races were held throughout the city, alongside the development of nearby private test circuits, such as Ferrari’s Fiorano test track. The creation of the Autodromo di Modena has allowed the tradition of speed, performance, and innovation to live on in this historic automotive hub.
